Hall-of-Gram?

Don't look at the title, it may mislead you to something else like *cough* drug *cough* but the thing that is to discussed here is something similar like you're on drug *jokes intended here

Have you ever heard about hologram?

Stark with his MAJESTIC hologram and J.A.R.V.I.S
or I might be wrong

What is Hologram you asked?

Well it is not Horlicks + Milo weighted in grams if you're thinking in Malaysian food culture, if so then you're wrong, we're not talking about the sweetness of drink that we have in our beloved country but instead we're discussing about the sweetness of technology known as hologram.

As usual, let us introduce the origin name of hologram like the typical academic book shall we?

The word hologram derived from Greek word "holos" which brings the meaning of "whole" and "graphe"  which is writing or drawing. Aren't Greek words so fascinating and not to mention that it has been utilized greatly in the field of academic. Wow! So AWESOME.

Anyway, hologram in laymen term is a 3D (three dimensional) image(s) created by holography technique and before we're going further to what is hologram, let's take a detour to the origin technique, holography.

"Mommy I can't get a hold of it"

Holography involves the use of complex technique to render the 3D image(s), with the combination techniques such as the usage of laser interference, diffraction, light intensity recording and illumination of recording.

That's sounds so confusing isn't it?

Long story short, the said method made the image appear 3D where the image changes as the position and the orientation of view changed.

Holographic recording is NOT an image, however it is a combination of structures of either varying in the intensity, density or even profile, not even slightest as a combination of images.

Let's cut to the chase, this is the entry where it focuses on how the hologram worked it ways into entertainment sector.

Have you ever watched any Star Wars movie? Then you might have the idea of how hologragm works but minus the communication part first.

The projection of the 3D imagery in the movie give the birth of the idea that "hologram is freedom"
A conceptual idea that turns reality that make your inner nerd having nerd-gasm.

The advancement of the hologram technology in the entertainment industry could called as a revolutionary movement which it could create a new genre in the industry.

Do you still remember Tupac? If you guys are still young and don't know he is, well he is a well known rapper in the 80's 90's era and was shot to dead. Hence, the title legendary was giving to him.

You must be this high to be rappin' with Tupac

What is the relevancy of Tupac and hologram? Well dear readers, hologram "revives" Tupac from the grave and in the past few years, he made debut again and perform on stage, holographically.

This could create an "immortal" legend to perform endlessly even though they're gone they're still alive on stage. That's how they made "living legend", fascinating isn't it?

Moving on to other part of hologram in entertainment industry from the land of the rising sun.

JAPAN

The land of many many technological advancement

Hatsune Miku, a virtual pop-idol that has been created through various AI (artificial intelligent) programs and vocal program that enables the idol to sing using its own voice....

Let's not talk much on the other programs but focus on the topic of hologram and its relevancy.

Virtual Idol performing live IRL

Miku was created in the year of 2007 as a vocaloid (vocal android) avatar that can practically can sing anything that is given to her.

Ridiculous as it sounds and it looks like, it's a "virtual that made into reality", this idea could give birth to many vocaloid avatar or so to say as the "perfect" or "desired" performer.

Imagine what will happened to the music industry or even movie industry if this technology would expand/venture fully into it? Countless of creative idea could be poured into it and make the "perfect" entertainment industry in the future.

Though it may have the negative outcomes but hey, every step in this world bears consequences.

Holographic principle suggests that Universe as a hologram. Yes you read it right. The universe is a holographic projection according to the holographic universe theory. Now, you may argue that this has nothing to do neither with technology nor communication. Yes you read it right. I am implying a scientific theory with an ongoing experiment up to date. Over the years, science and technology has always been like butter and bread, they are inseparable. Why am I saying this? Simply without scientific discoveries, human civilization will not be able to apprehend and build on new technologies. Technology is defined as the application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes. Imagine that the 3D reality we perceived as depth, breadth and height as a mere projected illusion of our mind. Could our holographic universe yet to be proven as the greatest theory of the 21st century?

  3. I never heard about hologram before, now I know! Thanks bro. I think hologram can make people "live" forever. Even after we passed away, we still can remain part of the members in society.
