  1. Long-Term Investors Should Prefer Facebook to Google suggested that Facebook is going to beat Google in the long run (Hartung, 2015). The domination of Facebook mobile apps overpowered What’sApp. All right, Facebook acquired What’sApp in 2014. Guess who’s in Number #3? Again, Facebook Messenger. Yes #5 is Instagram, another Facebook acquisition. In fact, Google almost bought Tesla for $11billion in 2013. On 12th of February, Tesla CEO Elon Musk (2015) says Tesla (TSLA) could be worth $700 billion by 2025. That is the value of Apple (AAPL, Tech30) right now. That is what Google has missed in agony. Is Elon Musk crazy? Sure thing is the electric car company boss did not get paid for his work in 2014. Elon Musk might be right as he unveils Tesla’s game-changing Powerwall batteries for homes and businesses. If that is the case, we can expect renewable wind and solar power to replace carbon-emitting nuclear power in the next decade.

  2. I am not an active Facebook user but I do understand why notifications are important. Especially the birthday memo. Other than Facebook, every individual in this world has Instagram, Pinterest and even a Twitter account. We are the generation of technology. Mobile generation as they say.
But do we really need to depend on our phone? Is our brain memory incapable of retrieving important task?

The new notifications feature, I think would not bring any significant change to Facebook current theme. The 'update status' box has pretty much cover everything; wedding invitation, friends' birthday, current issues, event and news. So it there a need to have the new features?

  6. Facebook. The name itself is known worldwide, is being used worldwide, well maybe not for China. It is a social networking site to start sharing and connecting people. So what is privacy to that? Even with the old features, there is no privacy, what more with the new features, I do not think that privacy exist in Facebook.

  7. For me, previously, I really like to use FB because I can touch up with my friends and family. I can know everything without reading any newspaper. But, after I experience cyber bullying that people write about you on their wall and tag you in the comment, I think that, FB no longer a healthy platform for people to use it. So, I quit facebook for two days, and I found out that I can survive without FB. But, I re-sign in my facebook again because most of our classmate prefer use FB to send file than email.

  9. at first glance we may thing the update as interactive and more engaging for the users, but lets take a look on the dark side of the social media.

with these updates we may only think that we negativity as users in the 3rd world country would be the connections' speed and could not adapt and function fully to utilized the application. However this is only the tip of the iceberg where the real problems is the breach of your privacy

when a system knows you better than your parent knows you, it can only means that privacy is near extinction and there's a saying since the emergence of social media which is "privacy is dead".

what ever you do, where you are, the system knows and it can only be said that it is the invisible watch tower that can see you and know where you are around the clock because we are attached to this new media
